Very
good sculpts of our heroines. I really like the poses since they
reflect each of the characters' personalities very well. Maggie's
pose should be very recognizable to fans and Anita has a cute playful
sitting pose. There are a lot of nice details. For example, Yomiko's
glasses actually has lens! I don't see that often with gashapons
so that was surprising. I do have to say that I'm not sure why Nenene's
glasses were excluded though. The outfits are also great. They didn't
make the characters wear anything odd. They're wearing their normal
everyday outfits (except for Michelle). The tiny creases on their
skirts adds to the realism of the sculpts. Overall, the figures
look fairly accurate to their sources.
And
speaking of skirts, I have to mention that all the characters (except
Maggie) can be displayed with their panties on. You can actually
take off their skirts and they wouldn't look unassembled. I think
the designer wanted us to be able to to do that. One hilarious thing
is that Michelle is wearing a thong! LOL. Nice details *cough* And
for all the pervs out there, Anita's skirt can also be removed.
>< This is a feature I'm sure certain collectors will enjoy.
The
paint is okay. There were a couple of minor parts on Maggie that
were poorly applied but there's nothing overly wrong with them.
The colors match their sources very well. I also have to mention
that Michelle's dress actually has this weird glossy/glitter look
which was a nice touch. The overall paint job is of average quality
for gashapons with minor slop here and there.
Overall:
A-
Great gashapons for this series. Fans of Read or Die will love them.
I'm glad that all the major female characters are represented here.
They're a much better representation of the characters than many
of the PVC figures that were released a few years ago. I'm hoping
to see the next series in which our heroines are in their battle
uniforms. ^^
