Personal
Story:
I saw this figure on the main page of the Japanese online store I
was looking at. It caught my eye and it became an instant purchase
on impulse. Curse you! :P Anyways, I haven't really watched the anime
since I wasn't interested but this design was too cute to pass up.
I'm glad I got it because a few days later, the store was completely
sold out and the figure has been discontinued already! Score! :D |

Introduction:
This figure is made by Good Smile Company based on popular anime
characters. This figure is based on the character Miina Miyafuji from
the anime, Please! Twins. It depicts Miina with a wet t-shirt and
bikini bottoms. |

Sculpt:
Excellent. The sculpt is very accurate . Some might say she's
a little more curvaceous than her anime counterpart, but she looks
great this way. The hair has little details with strands of hair
along the bangs and back. The face is dead on to the source. They
even sculpted out her lips. Nice. I think I was attracted to her
face more than her body. She's uber cute. ^_^
The
body and pose are very nice. She's in a playful posture holding
out her bikini top while she's pulling down her wet t-shirt with
her left hand. The t-shirt's sculpt is fantastic. All the little
folds and creases look very convincing. They even did a good job
with the t-shirt along her back. The thickness of the t-shirt is
just right. It really looks like she's wearing a t-shirt unlike
some other figures out there. Great job. Here's a big surprise,
they sculpted out her breasts and abs UNDER the t-shirt! I was pleasantly
surprised. :) I thought they were going to make a solid piece of
plastic under the t-shirt but they didn't. Kudos to the sculptor
for doing this since they could've easily avoided showing you anything.
Now perverts everywhere can rejoice! :P But seriously, it shows
the quality of the original sculpt. The hands are also full of details.
The hands are nicely detailed with fingernails and whatnot. They
look very good and very feminine. The right hand and the bikini
top is very well sculpted but there's not a lot of details with
the bikini top itself. It looks good draped over her hand though.
The left hand with the stretched t-shirt is very well executed.
She has her left thumb pulling the t-shirt and it looks very realistic.
Nice job.
The
legs and feet are nicely sculpted as well. The position feels just
right with the heel of her left foot slightly raised. But the leg's
aren't my favorite aspect of the sculpt. They're a little too thick
compared to the source but I think it looks fine on this particular
figure. The bikini bottom was fairly well done with the straps and
creases on her butt.
The
figure has ZERO articulation so you won't be playing with it. There
are little imperfections all over with the mold of this figure so
it ain't perfect. The strands of hair weren't very clean and there
are some minor dents. The major complain I have is that her right
foot doesn't go into the peg. It's a major fluke on the side of
Good Smile Company. But her left foot fits into the peg very snugly
and she stands up well so there aren't any problems with stability.
Still, it's a design flaw that I couldn't overlook. I'm glad her
right foot doesn't overlap on the peg or it would've been a big
problem.

Paint:
The paint job is fairly clean with some minor problems. The
colors for the hair and skin tone are nice and vibrant. They are
quite accurate to the source. The hair itself is airbrushed with
different gradients of pink/orange and it looks great. The eyes
are amazingly detailed and very clean. The lips seems to be painted
with the same pigment as the hair which was pretty well painted.
They also painted her fingernails and toenails with a little bit
of pink. Great details.
Now
here's the important part, the paint for the t-shirt. The paint
job is crucial to make a wet t-shirt look convincing on a figure
like this. If the paint job is off, then the whole illusion is broken.
Good Smile Company did a good job with it. The placement of the
colors are good but I did find the colors a tad too dark. The skin
tone is a tad too orangey compared to her "real" skin
for the rest of her body. The same can be said for the t-shirt itself.
The blue is a little dark (even if the pictures here don't show
it). I wasn't sure if they were going for a light blue t-shirt or
if the blue was supposed to be the shadow for the creases. If the
colors for the skin tone and shadows on the t-shirt were a little
lighter, than the illusion would've been better. It's not a fluke
since the colors look the same on the box. I had mixed reactions
with it. The back of the wet t-shirt looked more convincing.
The
bikini top and bottom are also well painted with a dark yellow pigment
and a little bit of airbrushing for the shadows. Both the bikini
and t-shirt are painted with a glossy paint which was a good detail.
But
there are imperfections all over certain parts of the figure. They
are very minor though. I saw some little specks here and there but
it was all minimal.

Overall:
A+
Excellent job overall. I found the figure really cute and sexy.
She's definitely a cutie. The quality is amazing and very well done.
If you like the anime or cute anime chicks in wet t-shirts then it's
a definite must-have. I do have to point out that this figure looked
remarkably close to the PVC anime figures by Kotobukiya in terms of
both quality and style. The colors and sculpt are simply uncanny.
If I didn't see the box then I wouldn't have known it was done by
another company. Good Smile Company did an outstanding job overall. |

Where
can I find this?
Well, I'm not sure where else considering the place I bought
it from is sold out. Since this figure was just released (as of
this review), I suggest checking out some Japanese online stores
for it. Please! Twins is pretty well known so you might see it in
some online import stores also. Good luck.

The figure in its box. Lovely design with both the colors and the
layout. The box design looks remarkably similar to Kotobukiya's
box designs just like the sculpt.

|

"Now now boys, whatcha staring at?"
|
|

They actually sculpted the breasts and abs under the t-shirt! Fantastic
details.
|
|

The feet. As you can see, the right foot doesn't go into the peg
just like the Mizuho figure from Kotobukiya!
What a strange coincidence.
|
|

The base. As basic as can be.
|
|

The
back. Nice work with the t-shirt here also.
