Type: Action Figure

Personal Story:
Not much of a journey. I didn't feel like hunting for this figure when its released so I preordered it.

Introduction:
This figure was made by Joyride Studios. This figure is based on the character Master Chief from the video game, Halo. This is from the second series where Master Chief in his red outfit from the multiplayer mode.

Sculpt:
Since this figure's sculpt is exactly the same as the series one version, I'd advise you to read that review for information on the sculpt. I'll be making some passing remarks and observations between this version and that version.

The main difference between this version and the series one version are the guns. They included the assault rifle, shotgun and pistol. The assault rifle can be found with the series one Master Chief and the shotgun can be found with the series two green Master Chief. It would've been nice if they gave him some of the Covenant weapons instead. Ah well.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but the right leg seems longer than left. This quirk can also be found with the green version in this series. Weird.

Paint:
Master Chief is red this time. The paint job is clean just like the green versions. They also used the same paint with the glitter stuff to make it look like metal. I must admit that there are a few parts like the inner part of the arms where the colors are inconsistent. Some parts of the red is brighter there. This is something that didn't happen with the green versions. The red looks nice but it's darker than its video game counterpart just like the green one. I think I complained enough about that from my previous Master Chief reviews.

As for the colors, here we go again. Just read my reviews of the paint job for the guns with the green Master Chiefs in series one and two. I think Joyride needs to fire whoever decided on the color scheme. They fucked it up. Plain and simple.

Overall: B-
Same great sculpt but the inconsistent colors and recycled weapons from the other Master Chiefs keep this figure from being great. Unless you're a completist, you like the red color or you missed out on the assault rifle from the series one Master Chief, this figure isn't really worth getting.

Where can I find this?
Just released as of this review so you'll find it easily in all the usual places.
